EuMaT covers all elements of the life cycle of an industrial product, despite it is a component, a system or a final goods:

·    design, development & qualification of advanced material
·    advanced production, processing and manufacturing
·    material and component testing
·    material selection and optimization
·    advanced modelling on all scales
·    databases and supporting analytical tools
·    life cycle considerations, including impacts, decommissioning, reliability, hazards, risks and recyclability
Main objectives of EuMaT
The main goal of EuMaT is to contribute to the best relation and dialogue between industry, R&D actors and institutions aiming at improving the coordination and synergies at national and European level in the field of Materials R&D.

9.) European Biofuels Technology Platform

The European Union is strongly dependent on fossil fuels for its transport needs
and is a net importer of crude oil. At the same time, concerns are increasing about climate change and the potential economic and political impact of peak oil production. To address these issues and reduce its dependency on fossil fuels the EU has adopted measures to encourage the production and use of sustainable biofuels.

10.) European Platform of Transport Science

The European Platform of Transport Sciences (EPTS) is an independent European association of societies and associations working in the field of transport sciences and of other comparable national institutions in Europe who work in that field.

Since its first meeting in 2001 in Vienna the purpose of EPTS is the enhancement of the dialogue between politics, science and economy in the field of European transport.

11.) European Road Safety Charter

The European Road Safety Charter is a European participatory platform made up of enterprises, associations, research institutions and public authorities. These actors undertake to carry out concrete actions and share their good practices in order to resolve the road safety problems that they encounter in their day-to-day environments. The objective of the Charter is to help reduce road fatalities. The Charter has more than 2.000 signatories. Join this community in action!

12.) European Technology Platform WATERBORNE

The European Technology Platform WATERBORNE is a forum where all stakeholders from the waterborne sector (sea & inland) define and share a common Vision and a Strategic Research Agenda, driving the necessary innovation efforts forward.

13.) Maritime Transport Research Database

The Maritime Transport Research Database, developed under the MARPOS project, summarizes data on the maritime transport research projects funded under DG RTD since the 5th Framework Programme.
